Jordan Smith is a Montana native and a graduate of the University of Oregon. She spends her days working at an architecture firm in Billings before heading off to skating practice; this time on the coaching side of things. Having grown up on the ice (as all children of good Canadian parents do) she has returned to the rink after several years away, and is constantly reminded why she loves skating so much. She spent countless cold and early mornings at Centennial Arena as a girl, together with her big sister, and competed in the region for several years. With a hockey-playing dad, “power skating” was a phrase she quickly became familiar with. Jordan now attributes her ethos for pure edge-work and stroking to all those drills and laps; thanks, Dad!!
During the summer months, she loves to camp, ride horses on the Montana landscape and spend time on the river, fishing and floating. She also enjoys smacking the tennis ball around and chasing greens on the golf-course.
Jordan looks forward to another skating season and to seeing both new and returning faces out there on the ice.
