Kathie Jewell is originally from Buffalo, New York but has lived in Billings, Montana for the past 25 years. While in Montana she has been the cornerstone of the Figure Skating Club of Billings as well as the development of the skating program in Cody, Wyoming. She has been teaching for 30 years, skaters of all ages and abilities, beginners through national competitors. Kathie’s emphasis is on freestyle and moves in the field. She enjoys teaching skaters of all levels with a variety of goals – be it recreational or competitive.
Kathie has always maintained a full-time position with the Bureau of Land Management as well as skating. She currently commutes between Washington DC and Montana/Wyoming to accomplish both goals.
